Are you worried about the security of your property, it getting broken in to, or even worse illegally occupied while you are not there.
If you are not living in Spain, and the property is currently being used as a holiday home, then we recommend using a company to come and install the alarm, and be monitored 24 hours a day, if the alarm is triggered, they can look through the cameras, call the designated number to ask if it’s you in the house or a family member, and if not, they call the police to go and arrest the person or people who have entered your property illegally.
To break into your property is classed as robbery, but after 48 hours its classed as squatters. You will need someone to go to the house, meet the police, organize the door to be fixed (or sometimes changed) and be there until the property is secure.
If you decide to contract the alarm, with the alarm company we collaborate with, we will pass our trade discount on to you.
For the installation of the alarm, setup and testing, takes between 2 to 2.5 hours, if you are not here in Spain, and want the alarm system installed, if we have access to the keys, we can go to the property, open for the alarm company, wait while the alarm is installed and tested, lock up the property, and then hold the keys in our office until you come to Gandia to collect them. Cost €50.00.
As this is a monitored service, depending on the property and amount of sensors etc, the monthly cost will be in the region of €46.00 to €50.00 with the first 3 months being half price.
The standard pack, includes the alarm, 2 camera sensors, front door sensor, and up to 2 window sensors, should you need more, the alarm company can quote you for the extra items wanted.
Another option if you are living here in Spain, is to buy an alarm system, and install it yourself, or have it installed by Phil at a cost. You will need WIFI in the property for you to remotely see through the cameras, and you will have to be there during installation to link the alarm, your internet router, and your mobile phone to the alarm system etc.
What is the advantage of this type of system, lower monthly costs, with the option to add more and more devices to the alarm system when you want, with a maximum of 40 devices. If you have a mobile contract with Orange, you can add an extra sim card and telephone number to your contract, for just €5.00 euros a month, and this is all it will cost you a month.
The basic alarm system comes with the alarm itself, 1 door sensor, 1 wall sensor, and 2 remote controls.
Depending on the property, but we have recently installed in a three storey townhouse the following:
Outside: A solar powered siren with emergency light.
Ground floor: Door sensor, 1 wall sensor, 1 electric powered 360 degree camera, and 1 motion detecting night vision camera that runs on its own built in battery which lasts up to 6 months.
First floor: 1 wall sensor, 1 electric powered 360 degree camera, and 1 motion detecting night vision camera.
Top floor: Door sensor, 1 wall sensor, 1 electric powered 360 degree camera, and 1 motion detecting night vision camera.
Roof terrace: 1 motion detecting night vision camera.
Once the system is setup, should there be any motion detected in the property, the app on your mobile phone will be notified with messages and also images sent to it showing what camera was triggered, also if the alarm is triggered, the system will send to 2 of the designated mobiles (one being the mobile phone that was used to link the alarm) a text message to say the alarm has been triggered, also the alarm will call the main mobile phone first, to say the alarm has been triggered, if there is no answer on the main phone number, it will call the other number.
If you see that the alarm has been triggered, and have images of someone in your property, simply call the police, they will go to the property, where you will meet them there.
This is a very good system, and can be set up, for full alarm use where all cameras, sensors etc are in action when you are outside the property, and also you can set up that only some of the sensors are working, when you are inside the property. The remote controls have a SOS function.
The cost of the alarm that we purchased was €377.00, as it was a 3-storey property, but if you have an apartment, Phil can visit your property, tell you which areas are vulnerable, and give you the price of the alarm and extras you need there and then, as well as the cost to install the alarm.
