Powers of attorney.

Powers of attorney can be given to another person to legally act on your behalf.

This can be to purchase a property for you, and to sell your property, but as well as buy or sell a property, the powers of attorney can be given to sign legal documents, act in the courts, get documents and bills from the tax office, and community of owners if you own an apartment.

The most cost effective way to give powers to us, is through a Spanish Notary in Gandia, of which 1 of the Notaries has a preset template for giving powers to us, this is a good option, if you are leaving Spain and need to give us powers of attorney before leaving, all the Notary official will need to do is add your details, and then sign in front of the Notary.

The other way to give powers of attorney if you are not in Spain, is through an English speaking Notary in your country. Once you have found a Notary who speaks English near where you live, Phil will draft the powers in word format, with your details, the Notaries details, just leaving blank the date that you will sign the powers in front of the Notary, and his protocol number.
On the day of the Notary, you will need to go with your passport, NIE if you have one, he will check the documents, you will both sign the powers of attorney, and then he will send them to be legalized for use in Spain, and from there the company will send the original powers of attorney to us by DHL.

Please note that we have not put the costs for powers of attorney, as each Notary, beit in Spain, or another country charge different amounts.
